SK8 and Play Project Coming Near You!
The Worcester Play Council has been awarded a £10,000 grant to help enhance play provision for city youngsters. Secured from The Awards for All Big Lottery fund, the monies will be used to develop free mobile skate and play sessions for 5 to 16 year olds in Worcester.
The Big Lottery project - in partnership with Worcester Play Council, Safer Worcester and Worcester City Council - will be delivered by youth, play and skate workers. They will man a landrover filled with play equipment at each session, which tows a trailer filled with skate ramps, skateboards, BMX helmets and pads.
The first of the Sk8 and Play sessions have been confirmed in each of the city wide locations:
- Saturday 13th February: City Youth House (tarmacked area at the back)
