Gheluvelt Park Big Lunch - Gheluvelt Park (Outside the Pump House)
Sunday 3rd June 12:30 (ready to eat at 1pm)
Inspired by the Eden Project, it encourages us to have lunch with our neighbours once a year in June. In 2011, the best part of 2 million people took part in this event all across the UK. So we hope that you can join us to make this a first of many Big Lunches in our park.
Please bring food to share in a container to serve from, preferably with a lid. Simple is best; cold finger food is great. We'll provide buffet tables, serviettes and signage to label your dishes so that people who have special dietary requirements know what they can and can't eat.
Bring your own rug, plate and cutlery and drinks.
Sorry, no alcohol as the park is an alcohol-free zone.
The Pump House also sells hot and cold take-away drinks.
The Big Lunch is an event for all and it is our aim to cater for different tastes and diets E.g. Veggie/Vegan, Gluten Free, Nut free & Kosher.
