Buildings of Local Significance

What is a building of local significance?

The inventory of buildings of local significance provides protection to buildings and structures i.e. bridges, bus shelters and lamp columns which are currently undesignated (not on the statutory Listed Building list compiled by English Heritage).

Please consult the Worcester City Council's Inventory of Buildings of Local Significance to check whether your property or feature is considered within this list. Please note: we are currently in the process of updating the Inventory of Buildings of Local Significance document

Anyone can nominate a building for inclusion on the inventory as long as it adheres to the criteria as found within the Inventory of Buildings of Local Significance and has supporting information to assist the case. Nominations can be made using the nomination form.
