Memorials

Memorials will become the focal point that will remain for many years, as such careful thought should be given in choosing the type and design that is right for you.

The staff in the cemetery office will be able to discuss with you, the wide range of memorial options available and at a time of your choosing.

Book of Remembrance

The Hall of Remembrance is located at the rear of the crematorium and hosts the Book of Remembrance, which offers a permanent inscription to commemorate a loved one, to a specific date chosen by the family.

Memorials - Book of Rememberance

Each morning the page is turned to reflect the current date that visitors may view. Should a visitor be unable to view the book on a specific day, the chapel attendants will be happy to assist by turning the page for you.

The inscriptions are executed by professional artists and calligraphers; it is possible to choose from two-line, five-line or eight-line entries, all available with or without Simple or Special illustrations.

Simple Illustrations are usually of a floral nature and Special Illustrations usually consist of, for example, Coats of Arms, Regimental Badges, Animals and Birds.

It is also possible to order replicas of an inscription in the Book of Remembrance in the form of Miniature Books and Memorial Cards which provide a memorial for you to keep at home or to give to family and friends.

We can arrange for a small photograph to be inserted along with the inscription in the Miniature Books and Memorial Cards.

For all Memorial Application Forms, please contact the cemetery office on 01905 22633 during normal opening hours.
