As part of this years project the City Council and RSPB invited two local primary
schools , St Clements and Stanley Road to take part in an Art Competition to draw St Andrews Spire and the Peregrines.
The judges were The Mayor of Worcester Cllr Andrew Roberts, John Wrightson The Head of Urban Environment, Laura Reynolds and Andrew Sheppard from the RSPB , and selecting the winning entries was difficult from over 70 entries. Each school was awarded 1st,2nd and 3rd, and two highly commended, and an overall winner was chosen from those ten.
The winners were presented with rosettes and packs of RSPB goodies kindly donated by the RSPB.
The overall winner was Amy Nash of St Clements Primary School. Hopefully Amy's picture will be used as part of the Peregrine Projects promotion next year.
The winning entries from both schools are now on display in the lower hall of the Guildhall until Friday 24th July 2009 or you can see all the winners artwork below.
Worcester City Council & The RSPB would like to thank all the children from both schools for their wonderful artwork!
