				<description><![CDATA[As part of the daily battle to keep Worcester clean, Worcester City Council is took delivery of three new compact street sweepers. The Swingo machines manufactured by Aebi Schmidt are able to collect up to two cubic metres of waste before they need emptying, which means they can operate further away from the main depot and for longer than existing equipment owned by the council.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[My week began musically with a visit to the Guildhall from Chorus Semper Virit, a choir from Vernon in France, with whom Worcester has a friendship pact. My thanks to Peter Rogers of the Twinning Association and to Jacques D Romer who arranged the visit. They sang to me in English and it was both beautiful and emotional. Two groups of students from Bologna in Italy, under the watchful eye of Francesco La Rovere, also visited the parlour for a talk and tour. ]]></description>
