Sport, Art & Play Partnerships

Freedom Leisure

Freedom Leisure works hard to enhance, develop and sustain a number of partnerships in order to maintain our high level of commitment to deliver and improve local sport in your community.

This involves working together with voluntary organisations, charities, statutory bodies, local schools and local clubs. Some of our key partners are explained below:

Sports Partnership Herefordshire and Worcestershire (SPHW)

"working together to make sport and physical activity an everyday choice"

SPHW is a County Sport Partnership working to increase participation in sport and active recreation across Herefordshire & Worcestershire. They work with local authorities, clubs, schools, coaches, national organisations and communities to create more opportunities for everybody to get more active, more often.

  • Worcester is one of these local authorities and is a key member of the Sports Partnership Herefordshire and Worcestershire (SPHW) along with five other regionalised authorities including; Bromsgrove, Redditch, Malvern Hills, Wyre Forest Wychavon and Herefordshire.
  • This ‘working partnership' approach is now common in the development of sport and has obvious benefits, such as shared resources, accessing funding channels and of course avoiding duplication of work
  • SPHW website can be found at www.morethansport.com
