Massage and Special Treatment Licence
If you wish to operate an establishment offering massage or special treatment in the City, you need a licence from the Council authorising you to do so.
The Worcester City Council Act 1985 defines establishments for massage and special treatment as any premises used or represented for being used by way of business for the reception or treatment of persons requiring:
- Massage; or
- Chiropody; or
- Electric treatment, radiant heat, light or electric vapour treatment, or sauna or other baths for therapeutic treatment; or
- Treatment for the tanning of the skin; or
- Other similar treatment
Apply by post
To apply for a licence by post you need to complete an application form and send it to:
Licensing, Worcester City Council, Guildhall, High Street, Worcester, WR1 2EY

Licences remain in force for one year and then expire unless renewed.
