People from across Worcester will meet next month to discuss accessibility in the city and help shape future improvements.
Following the success of last year's inaugural event, Worcester City Council is hosting the Accessible Worcester 2026 mini-conference at the Guildhall on Thursday 8 October, from 9.30am to 1pm.
The event will bring together local representatives, community organisations, professionals, residents and businesses for a shared conversation about accessibility in Worcester and how we can help shape a more inclusive future for the city.
Local support groups and charities are invited to hold stalls in the Lower Hall and contribute to the discussion in the Court Room.
Councillor Katie Collier, Vice-Chair of Worcester City Council’s Communities Committee said: “This event provides an important opportunity to bring people together to discuss how we can continue improving accessibility across our city.
“By listening to the experiences of residents, community organisations and businesses, we can identify practical ways to remove barriers and ensure Worcester is a place where everyone feels welcome, included and able to participate fully in community life.
“The conference will also be a chance to learn about the excellent work already taking place across Worcester to improve accessibility, share ideas and experiences, and take part in constructive discussions about how we can build on that progress.
“I look forward to another successful event and the positive conversations, partnerships and opportunities it will inspire.”
