A Worcester event will give people a chance to learn more about the services available in the city.

What Worcester Provides For You is being held at the Guildhall in High Street between 11am and 1pm on Friday 21 February.

The free event will feature a range of local organisations offering guidance and support on issues such as housing, debt management, health, and youth services.

Staff will be on hand to provide advice, answer questions, and offer information about different services.

Councillor Jabba Riaz, Chair of Worcester City Council’s Communities Committee said: “The What Worcester Provides For You event provides a brilliant opportunity to learn more about those services on offer within our city that focus on health, wellbeing and welfare support.

“Across Worcester, there is an extensive network of organisations offering support and assistance to residents throughout the year.

“Come along to the Guildhall and talk to people about the services available to you.

“Whether you're seeking help or simply looking to learn more about what’s on offer, this event is the perfect place to start.”

What Worcester Provides For You is being organised by the Worcester District Collaborative, a group of organisations, including Worcester City Council, who work together to provide stronger health, wellbeing and welfare support in the city.

At the event will be a wide variety of services — from children’s charities and support groups to housing support and health services.

Organisations in attendance will be: Action for Children, Age UK Wyvern, Autism West Midlands, Citizens Advice, Community Housing, Freedom Leisure, Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, Midland Mencap, ONSIDE, Perdiswell Young People’s Leisure Club, The Myriad Centre, Willowdene, Worcester City Council, Worcester City Primary Care Network, Worcester Community Trust, Worcester Snoezelen, Worcester Warriors Foundation, Worcestershire County Council and Youth Support Services.

The Worcester Safe Space and Mobile Health vans will be located outside the Guildhall on the day until 6pm.
