Mayor invites Worcester families to free family fun day

The Mayor of Worcester is inviting local families to enjoy a free summer fun day at the Guildhall next Wednesday (12 August).
The event, which runs from 11am to 2pm, is being held in support of the Mayor’s chosen charity for her mayoral year, Onside Advocacy.
Attractions will include face painting, ball games and imaginative play opportunities using cardboard construction materials and giant blue blocks.
Children will also be able to get creative with biscuit decorating, led by Mix Café, and pavement chalking activities.
Ice cream will be available to purchase, and representatives from Melo will be on hand with information and resources to support children’s mental health and wellbeing.
The Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Tor Pingree, said: “I’m delighted to invite families from across Worcester to join us at the Guildhall for a fun-packed summer event.
“There will be lots of activities for children to enjoy, from creative crafts and imaginative play to games and face painting.
“It's a wonderful opportunity for families to come together and have fun.
“While the event is completely free to attend, any donations on the day would be greatly appreciated and will help Onside Advocacy continue its valuable work in our community.
“I look forward to welcoming everyone along for what promises to be a great day."
