Also on the new website is visiting information for each cemetery, essential advice for organising funerals, and details of how people can get involved in the management and maintenance of the cemeteries if they wish to.

City residents can also use to buy or renew memorials for their loved ones, from book of remembrance inscriptions to stones and benches. Newly available is an inscribed memorial leaf on a steel memorial tree.

Lloyd Griffiths, Worcester City Council Director of Homes, Operation and Communities, said: "We hope the new website will be useful for both the recently bereaved and those who are remembering the loved ones they have lost in the past. It has been carefully and respectfully designed and we hope city residents and visitors will find it informative and useful."
