The top floor of a busy city centre car park in Worcester is to be closed for resurfacing for around ten weeks.

The fifth floor of St Martin’s Gate multi-storey car park, off City Walls Road, is open-air and its weathering surface is now in need of replacing.

The work will begin in the week of 6 July and the first two weeks will involve some noise while the existing surface is removed. For that reason, operations will be strictly confined to the times of 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

The top floor of the car park and part of the fourth floor will be closed off while the resurfacing project is carried out.

The car park will otherwise be open as normal.

During the work, the number of parking spaces in St Martin’s Gate car park will be temporarily reduced from 714 to 472.
