When to put your bins out this Christmas

Christmas bin collections Christmas bin collections

Domestic bin collections in Worcester will run as normal over Christmas. There will be no changes to collection days, thanks to City Council staff working on the bank holiday on Tuesday 28 December.

Bins will also be collected on the normal days in the following week, commencing 3 January.

If you need to check which day your black or green bin will be collected you can use the City Council's bin round look-up service.

Don't forget to make sure your bins are placed out by 7am on your day of collection.

Remember: you can put large cardboard boxes, Christmas cards (except glitter ones) and wrapping paper (excluding foil or glittery paper) in your green bin. Tinfoil and tinsel need to go in the black bin.

There will be no bulky household collections in the week of 27 December. The normal service will resume on Tuesday 4 January 2022. Book a  bulky waste collection.

There will be some minor changes to the City Council's commercial waste service, used by many Worcester businesses. This affects businesses whose bins would normally be emptied on Mondays.
