Residents and visitors to Worcester are invited to explore the city’s rich heritage through a new initiative – the Worcester Passport.

This free, family-friendly challenge offers a fun way to discover 12 of Worcester’s most historic and iconic buildings.

Participants can collect their complimentary Worcester Passport from the Worcester Tourist Information Centre – open Monday to Saturday, including Bank Holidays.

As people visit each of the 12 historic attractions, they can receive a special stamp from each venue’s reception area.

Once all stamps are collected, participants can return to the Tourist Information Centre to receive a History Hound of Worcester badge as a keepsake.

Participating attractions include: Worcester Tourist Information Centre, Worcester Cathedral, The Guildhall, The Hive, Worcester Art Gallery & Museum, The Commandery, The Infirmary Museum, The Masonic Museum, The George Marshall Medical Museum, Greyfriars House, Museum of Royal Worcester and Tudor House Museum.

There is no time limit for completing the challenge and the buildings can be visited in any order, making it a flexible and enjoyable activity suitable for all ages.

Ruth Smith, Worcester Tourist Information Centre Manager, said: "We are excited to launch the Worcester Passport, which we hope will encourage people to discover the fascinating history woven throughout our city.

“This free initiative is a perfect way to explore Worcester’s most treasured buildings during the summer months and beyond, whether you’re a resident here or a visitor.

"While some sites, like the Cathedral and the Guildhall, are well known, others might be new discoveries.

“We hope this challenge inspires both locals and tourists to experience the full breadth of Worcester’s historic charm."
