Thousands of visitors flocked to Pitchcroft on Sunday to enjoy a day of community celebration, live entertainment, and activities at the Worcester Show.
First held over 15 years ago as a small community competition and traditional fete at Gheluvelt Park, the Worcester Show became so popular that it is now held at the larger venue of Pitchcroft
This year’s Competition Marquee was a sea of colour and the home to 650 entries across 170 classes. The skill and creativity of entrants were rewarded with certificates, medals and the coveted Worcester Show trophies - presented by the Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Dr Matt Lamb.

The day opened with a lively parade, as cultural groups from across the city came together in a vibrant display of colour and sound.
Platform Housing sponsored the Community Marquee, where visitors enjoyed international food and cultural showcases throughout the day.
Worcester Mela added a feast for the senses, with the rhythmic beat of Dhol Drummers, energetic singing and dancing, cooking demonstrations with Suki Pantal, and storytelling sessions.
Music lovers were treated to an array of performances on the main BBC Hereford & Worcester Stage. New for 2025, a secondary BBC Introducing & BBC Upload Stage offered a relaxed environment for emerging talent to perform, including musical and spoken word performers.
Also introduced this year was the Quiet Area, a calm space away from the busy Show to make the event more accessible.
Hundreds of stalls showcased food, drink, crafts and products from across Worcestershire, with an emphasis on local traders.
Families enjoyed a host of free children’s activities, from traditional egg-and-spoon and sack races to football, cricket, and rounders. Youngsters also had the opportunity to try their hand at circus skills and arts and crafts provided by community groups.
Councillor Katie Collier, Vice-Chair of Worcester City Council’s Communities Committee, said: “It was lovely to see so many friends and families enjoying such a great community day out at the Worcester Show.
“Pitchcroft had a buzz of excitement and music throughout the day. There were lots of free activities and things to see and do, truly making it a day to remember and cherish.
“It’s always lovely to see talented performers and performance groups share the Show’s stages.
