Worcester Community Grants
Worcester City Council has an ambitious strategic plan, the Worcester City Plan 2025-2030 sets out the collective vision of political leaders in the city. We recognise the key to delivering on the plan will be how we work with residents and stakeholders across Worcester to create a successful, vibrant and sustainable City. The City Plan has five overlapping and interconnected themes which will shape the Worcester we want to see.
To support the delivery of the City Plan, Worcester City Council has set aside a Worcester Community grant pot to support organisations delivering services on the front line of our communities.
Funding is available to community groups, charities, and voluntary sector organisations to support new community projects in Worcester.
Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) Warm Spaces with Wraparound Support Grants
Worcester City Council is pleased to launch the Warm Spaces with Wraparound Support Grant Programme, funded through the Government's Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF).
The programme will support Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations to provide warm, safe and welcoming spaces for Worcester residents during the winter period. Funded projects should help residents experiencing financial hardship, fuel poverty, social isolation or other challenges by offering opportunities to connect with their community and access information, signposting and referrals to appropriate support services.
The Council recognises that some residents face barriers to accessing community services and support. Applications may therefore include transport, outreach or other practical measures that enable residents to attend Warm Spaces and benefit from the opportunities available through them.
Warm Spaces should act as trusted community settings where residents can access information, advice and referrals into wider support services where appropriate. Projects should help residents identify and access the support they need while strengthening community connections and resilience.
Funding Priorities
Applications should demonstrate how they will contribute to one or more of the following priorities:
- Providing warm, safe and welcoming community spaces during the winter months.
- Reducing the impact of financial hardship and fuel poverty.
- Tackling loneliness and social isolation.
- Improving residents' awareness of and access to advice, information and support services through signposting and referral.
- Supporting health, wellbeing and community resilience.
- Supporting the early identification of need through trusted community settings.
- Removing barriers that prevent residents from accessing Warm Spaces and related support.
- Strengthening partnership working across the voluntary and community sector.
Expected Outcomes
Funded projects should contribute to one or more of the following outcomes:
- Residents have access to safe, warm and welcoming spaces.
- Reduced loneliness and social isolation.
- Improved physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
- Increased access to information, advice and support services.
- Greater community connection and resilience.
- Improved support for residents experiencing financial hardship.
- Increased participation from residents facing barriers to accessing services.
- Stronger partnership working across Worcester's VCSE sector.
Grant Value
A total of £40,000 has been allocated to the programme for awards of up to £10,000 for VCSE organisations.
Funding may be awarded to organisations delivering:
- Warm Spaces with wraparound support
- Enhancements to existing Warm Space provision
- Transport, outreach or accessibility services that help residents access one or more Warm Spaces
All applications will be assessed against the CRF Warm Spaces Grant Criteria. Applicants are strongly encouraged to review the criteria before submitting an application.

Publicity and Promotion
Successful applicants may be required to work with Worcester City Council on promotional activities relating to the grant funding received.
This could include press releases, case studies, promotional photographs and video content featuring staff, volunteers or beneficiaries (where appropriate).
